چکیده
Aim: To evaluate the possible effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection on retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and ganglion cell complex (GC-IPL) thicknesses. Method: Patients who had been infected by hospitalized because severe pneumonia were found out from database COVID-19 pandemic hospital formed patient group. The control group was composed non-COVID-19 age-matched subjects. mean fragmented RNFL GC-IPL thicknesses measured optical coherence tomography (OCT), compared between two groups, statistically. Results: Patient 34 eyes subjects (18 male, 16 female) 31 (14 17 in enrolled. age gender not statistically different groups (p:0.56, 0,57, respectively).A significant difference terms mean, superior, inferior, temporal, nasal thicknesses. Conclusion: OCT patients moderate disease course recovered infection.

PURPOSE To evaluate the thicknesses of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL), ganglion cell complex (GCL), and choroid layer using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) for investigating the effects of vascular changes on the eye and optic nerve in patients who have migraine with aura. METHODS Forty-five patients who had migraine with aura (migraine group) and 45 ...

Aim. To evaluate the possible structural and functional changes in the retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) and the ganglion cell complex (GCC) of chronic smokers and compare them with those of passive healthy smokers using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and pattern electroretinogram (PERG). Materials and Methods. We include 80 active chronic smokers and 80 age- and sex-match...

and a cyst contains CSF-like fluid based on positivity for 2-transferrin, an assay used routinely to detect CSF leak following basal skull fracture. It was a surprise, therefore, that, in case 1, cisternography failed to verify a communication between the subretinal space and intracranial CSF. The most likely source of the fluid is the orbital cysts that are intimately related to the retrobulba...

Background and Objective: This study investigated the difference between patients with mild cognitive impairment and healthy controls using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) regarding Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer (RNFL) thickness. Materials and Methods: In total, 20 patients with mild cognitive impairment and 20 healthy controls were subjected to neurological examination in this case-control stu...
متن کاملThicknesses of macular retinal layer and peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer in patients with hyperopic anisometropic amblyopia.
This prospective study was performed to measure the macular and the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thicknesses using optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patients with anisometropic amblyopia. Thirty-one patients with hyperopic anisometropic amblyopia were included. The macular retinal thickness and the peripapillary RNFL thickness were measured using OCT. The mean refractive e...
